Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Windows XP Professional
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Basic networking course, networking experience or instructor approval.
Course Description: Addresses the implementation and desktop support needs of customers that are planning to deploy and support Microsoft Windows XP Professional in a variety of stand-alone and network operating system environments. In-depth, hands-on training for Information Technology (IT) professionals responsible for the planning, implementation, management, and support of Windows XP Professional. This course is cross-listed as ITMT 1300. The student may register for either ITMT 1300 or ITMT 1400 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

This is a Local Need Course. Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1301 or COSC 1401 or equivalent experience approved by instructor.
Course Description: A study of the Windows 7 operating system. Includes installation, upgrade, and migration to Windows 7, monitoring and resolving performance and reliability issues, insuring hardware and software compatibility, configuration of pre-installation and post-installation system settings for Windows security features, network connectivity applications, mobile computing, backup and recovery.
