Fundamentals of Information Security
This is a WECM Course Number.
Course Description: An introduction to information security including vocabulary and terminology, ethics, the legal environment, and risk management. Identification of exposures and vulnerabilities and appropriate countermeasures are addressed. The importance of appropriate planning, policies, and controls is also discussed. This course is cross-listed as ITSY 1300. The student may register for either ITSY 1300 or ITSY 1400 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Network Defense and Countermeasures

Course Description: This is a practical application and comprehensive course that includes the planning, design, and construction of a complex network that will sustain an attack, document events, and mitigate the effects of an attack. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)
