Windows 7 Configuration
This is a Local Need Course.
Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1301 or COSC 1401 or equivalent experience approved by instructor.
Course Description: A study of the Windows 7 operating system. Includes installation, upgrade, and migration to Windows 7, monitoring and resolving performance and reliability issues, insuring hardware and software compatibility, configuration of pre-installation and post-installation system settings for Windows security features, network connectivity applications, mobile computing, backup and recovery. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Administering Windows Server 2012

Course Description: A study of administrative tasks needed to maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure including user and group management, network access and data security. Topics include how to implement, configure and manage Group Policy infrastructure, scope Group Policy Objects (GPOs) using links, security groups, WMI filters, loopback processing, preference targeting and troubleshoot policy application.
