Photography I

Course Description: (1st semester, journalism emphasis) ( Also see ARTS 2356 for fine arts emphasis) Introduction to the basics of photography. Includes camera operation, techniques, knowledge of chemistry, and presentation skills. Emphasis on design, history, and contemporary trends as a means of developing an understanding of photographic aesthetics. This course is cross-listed as ARTS 2356. The student may register for either COMM 1318 or ARTS 2356 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)
