Introduction to Nursing
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: Admission to the Professional Nursing Program.
Corequisite/Concurrent: RNSG 1460, RNSG 1105.
Course Description: Overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as a provider of patient-centered care, coordinator of care, patient safety advocate, and member of a profession. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values with a legal/ethical framework. Licensing/Certification Agency: Texas Board of Nursing (BON). (3 Lec.)
