State-Mandated Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress (TXG-SAP) The Texas state legislature has included specific standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress for students receiving TEXAS Grants. As with the general SAP policy, the TXG-SAP has both a quantitative and qualitative standard that must be achieved each year to renew the award.
