Non-Core Degrees
ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCES DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERINGOffered at Richland College in conjunction with the Degree Code: AS.UTD.ELEC.ENGR.10 Students who complete this degree with a GPA of 2.50 with no grade below that of "C" and who meet all admissions requirements at Univeristy of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will be accepted into the UTD's Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program. Students should follow this plan only if they wish to transfer to UTD in Electrical Engineering. Students wishing to transfer to another university should not assume this entire plan will transfer. In order to be eligible to receive this AS degree in Electrical Engineering, a student must:
Students who transfer to the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will not be core complete if he/she complete this degree. This degree does not include all Core course requirements. Students who plan to transfer must work closely with an advisor/counselor. |

Select EACH of the following: Note:MATH 2413, 2414 and 2415 are required to satisfy the MATH 2417 and 2419. UTD's accelerated two-semester calculus sequence, MATH 2417 and MATH 2419, is equivalent to the three-semester calculus sequence offered at community colleges. Students must take Calculus I, Calculus II, and Calculus III in order to be equivalent. Note: Students must take both ENGR 1201 and ENGR 1172 to receive credit for the ECS 1200 and CE 1202. In addition, student will be required to make up one additional credit hour in major upper level courses. Note: Students must take both ENGR 2301 and ENGR 2302 to receive credit for UTD MECH 2310. |
