MATH 1414 is a 4 credit hour lecture course. MATH 1314 is a 3 credit hour lecture course. Either course will meet degree requirements. A student may receive credit for MATH 1414 or MATH 1314 but not for both.

College Algebra
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Prerequisite Required: College level ready in Mathematics algebra-based level.
Course Description: This course is study of relations and functions including polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and special functions. Other topics may include complex numbers, systems of equations and inequalities, theory of equations, progressions, the binomial theorem, matrices and determinants, mathematical reasoning skills, sequences and series, and applications. This course is cross-listed as MATH 1314. The student may register for either MATH 1414 or MATH 1314 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (4 Lec.)
