2016 - 2017 Catalog External Learning Experiences for Career and Technical Programs
An external learning experience for Career and Technical awards is designed as a paid or unpaid learning experience. It enhances lecture and laboratory instruction and is provided at work sites appropriate to the discipline. The external learning experience allows a student to have practical hands on training and to apply learned concepts and theories in a workplace setting. The five types of external learning experiences:
- Clinical
- Internships
- Practicum
- Internship
- Apprenticeship
Clincial experience must take place in a health care setting.
