This 12-month program is designed to prepare individuals to perform the duties of a medical assistant who can function in an acute care clinical setting or physician's office in the areas of: medical office administration, clinical lab procedures, examining room assisting and physicians office laboratory procedures. The student may elect to complete the program either as a block CEU program or as a credit certificate program.
The El Centro College Medical Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educations www.caahep.org ( upon recommendation of the Curriculum Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).
