Prerequisite Required: College level ready in Reading. Course Description: The music of recognized composers in the major periods of music history is examined. Topics include the characteristics of sound, elements of music, performance media, and musical texture. Emphasis is on the music of the late Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque eras. (3 Lec.)
