Offered at BHC, EFC, ECC, NLC, RLC African-American History This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD. Prerequisite Required: College level ready in Reading and Writing. Course Description: The role of African Americans in the history of the United States is studied. The slave trade and slavery in the United States are reviewed. Contributions of African Americans in the U.S. are described.
