This certificate will provide education and training for individuals who would like to explore the basic techniques needed to design, modify and build street rods or custom automobiles. This program introduces students to the history, evolution and concepts of both street rod and the customizing of automobiles as it applies to construction, enhancement and refurbishment including techniques in welding, developing fabrication skills like shaping and forming steel or aluminum panels, and shop safety. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be awarded a Level 1 certificate in Custom Auto/Street Rod Fabrication as part of the Auto Body Technology Program.
