  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

Degree Plan Code: C1.CIT.MULT.APP

This one-year certificate option focuses on training for multi-level Android, iOS and Windows Phone platform devices. Topics include web application design and responsive layout using HTML5/CSS3, native application design and development using Java and Android Studio, core functionality and hybrid development for iOS using Objective C or Swift and Windows Phone using C# or Visual Basic. Graduates will be qualified to enter the business environment as a diverse multi-platform Mobile applications developer.

Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1301 or equivalent experience approved by designated Information Technology personnel.
